Sidhu kanhu murmu park Pakur (formerly known as Pakaur), is the district headquarter of the district of Pakur of the Jharkhand state, Situated in the northeastern corner of Jharkhand state. Pakur is surrounded by Sahebganj district in the north, Dumka district in the south, Godda district in the west, and Murshidabad and Birbhum district of West Bengal in the east. Pakur district has an area of approximately 696 square kilometers and a population of 899,200 (according to the 2011 census).
