What kind of organization is Quad? who announced the formation of a counter terrorist group today?

Sending a clear message to Pakistan, the Quad countries have formed the Quad Nations Working Group to tackle terrorism, and its first meeting will be held in the United States this year. Along with condemnation of all forms of terrorism, the meeting also called for consensus against the politicization of banning terrorists in the United Nations and urged all countries to adopt transparent policies in this matter.

In a statement issued by all four countries, it has been said, “We agree that the rules-based international order is enshrined in the United Nations Charter, international law and the principles of sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity of all states.”

As per the statement, it is said, “We are committed to addressing the challenges of dealing with the United Nations and international system in a unidirectional way through the advice of our partners and through multilateral and international forums.”

The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, commonly known as the Quad, is a strategic alliance between the countries of the United States, Japan, Australia, and India, aimed at promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
